The IL41050TA-3E high speed, low-power CAN transciever from NVE is a galvanically isolated device designed as an interface between the CAN protocol controller and the physical bus. The IL41050TA series is also compatible with 3V and 5V input supplies. The device uses NVE’s patented IsoLoop spintronic Giant
Magnetoresistance (GMR) technology to provide isolated differential transmit capability to the bus and isolated differential receive capability to the CAN controller. These transcievers feature unique ceramic/polymer composite barrier providing excellent isolation and virtually unlimited barrier life. IL41050TA-3E comes in a 0.15″ 16-pin SOIC
package and is fully compliant with the ISO 11898 CAN standard, VDE V 0884-10 certified and UL 1577 recognised.

The IL41050TA series has current limiting and thermal shutdown features to protect against output short circuits and bus contentions that may cause excessive power dissipation.
Typical applications for the IL41050TA series include:
- Factory automation
- Battery management systems
- Noise-critical CAN
- DeviceNet
